PPP department in MGIMO-University
On the 21st of June 2011 the decision to establish the PPP department was unanimously approved by the Academic Senate of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. PPP Development Center initiated creation of the department under an agreement with MGIMO-University.
The deparment is headed by Elena Zavyalova, Deputy Dean of the International Economic Affairs Faculty of MGIMO-University and member of the Community Council of PPP Development Center.
The main tasks of the Department are development, improvement and implementation of special academic programs; preparation of masters and bachelors in PPP, corporate management, relations with executive authorities and public organizations; holding seminars and training programs for businesses and public sector.
In October 2011 the Center is launching the “Implementation of PPP projects in social infrastructure” program ( both for public and business sector). Preparation for an International Infrastructure Development Forum is in process.
PPP deparment in MGIMO-University is planning to hold exhibitions on international investments, round tables, expert council meetings on international investment and PPP, regional/interregional academic conferences involving representatives from both regional and federal levels, as well as foreign experts.
The department organizes research on PPP with a view to introduce and develop international practice and mechanisms in regions.
Academics and students that have interest in public-private partnerships are welcome to cooperate.
